To own a Wayuu Mochila is to own a one of a kind multi-coloured design, handwoven in cotton in Colombia by female members of the indigenous matriarchal society of the Wayuu tribe, using crochet techniques passed down for centuries from generation to generation and introduced by missionaries in early 20th century.

The bottom of each unique mochila presents intricate symbolic designs chosen by the weaver as a means of artistic expression as part of the tribe's traditional weaving methods.

Made in sturdy woven Rayon cotton with shoulder strap and tasseled drawstring fastening, making it a great everyday or beach holiday bag.
